To define the utility of ultrasonography for diagnosis of ureterolithiasis 342 patients were examined. Stones in a ureter were found in 303 cases that has made 92% from total of the patients with ureterolithiasis. Efficacy of ultrasonography in revealing stones depends on their localization. Accuracy of the method met 97.5% when a stone was situated in the inferior third of a ureter, sensitivity – 97.8%, specificity – 87.5%. When a stone situated in the middle third of a ureter the accuracy of the method met 84.4%, sensitivity – 80.0%, specificity – 83.3%. The accuracy of a method made 91.8 %, sensitivity – 92.9 %, specificity – 85.7 %, when a stone had been locating in the upper third of a ureter.
